Hall’s other commercial responsibilities have now been taken on by Jim Batchelor who is head of commercial, which covers entertainment, confectionery, home, stationery and licensing.

Woolworths is the market leader for licensed product in the UK and the largest retailer of licensed merchandise in Europe. Toys, entertainment and clothing lead the retailer’s interest, although all departments feature licensing as key to their strategy.
