Worldwide broadcast deals for FME's Grojband

FremantleMedia Enterprises has announced a slew of international broadcast deals for its new animated series Grojband.

The series has been signed by Lagadère in France, Switchover Media in Italy, ABC in Australia and Cartoon Network in Latin America.

The deals follow an agreement with Cartoon Network in the US.

The 52 x 11 minutes comedy series is aimed at kids aged six to 11 and follows the adventures of Corey and his three best friends as they attempt to rocket their garage band to rock stardom.

Sander Schwartz, president, FME Kids & Family Entertainment, commented: “The characters in Grojband may not be the best musicians in the world but they there are set for international superstardom nonetheless. We’re delighted that international broadcasters are lining up to acquire the series for its blend of unique styling, cool characters and catchy music.”

Grojband was developed by Fresh TV in association with TELETOON Canada and is distributed by FME.
