A new boutique licensing consultancy based in Tokyo has opened its doors, headed up by industry veteran Roger Berman.

Berman has more than two decades of experience in the Japanese and global licensing arenas. He has previously been managing director of LIMA Japan, while prior to this he held positions at Cosmo Merchandising and Copyrights Asia.

"As the world's third largest licensing market, worth approximately $16.4 billion, Japan presents a wealth of potential opportunities to international licensors," said Berman. "For Japanese licensors, with the rapid growth Japanese content has seen in recent years, worldwide business prospects abound.

"Zenworks provides a broad choice of services for overseas licensors looking to enter Japan, and for Japanese content holders expanding into international markets."
