eOne appoints new head of international sales

Entertainment One Family has hired Monica Candiani as its new Head of International Sales.

She will report in to Olivier Dumont, Managing Director of eOne Family, and will be based in eOne’s London office.

Candiani will be responsible for the international TV, Home Entertainment and Digital sales of eOne Family’s award-winning properties such as Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Rob the Robot.

She will also be responsible for pre-sales to raise funding for eOne Family’s growing slate of older targeted comedy series, and will work with eOne’s licensing division to strengthen ties with broadcasters to support the international expansion of Peppa Pig.

Candiani was previously Sales Manager at European production company Rainbow S.r.l. in Italy, where she was instrumental in the global success of girls’ property Winx Club.

She can speak English, Italian, Spanish, French and German.

“Monica joins eOne Family at a very exciting time in the business,” said Dumont. “She brings with her a strong background in sales but above all a unique expertise in brand management and brand building. We are truly delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Candiani will be heading to the Kidscreen Summit in February.
