eOne partners with Cancer Research to kick-start Ben & Holly’s Little Explorer fundraising challenge

Entertainment One (eOne) is teaming up with Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens, to launch a Little Explorer fundraising challenge off the back of its pre-school property Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom.

Nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools are invited to sign up to the campaign, to help raise money that will help fund research into treatments and cures for children’s cancers.

The campaign will run from April to July 2016, and all participants will receive a Little Explorer pack of fundraising challenges, including a Little Kingdom Treasure Hunt, Gaston’s Games, Magical Dress Up and an Elf and Fairy party.

Rebecca Harvey, head of marketing at eOne Family, said: “We’re delighted that Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom will inspire children to help fundraise for Cancer Research Kids & Teens.

“We have worked closely with the charity to produce an activity pack that’s full of great ideas that will encourage children to explore the outdoors, get creative and most importantly raise valuable funds for this worthy cause.”

In addition, eOne will be supporting the cause across its digital and social channels.

Claire Rowney, director of Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, and are excited to launch the Little Explorer Challenge.

Back in the 1970s, more than a third of children with cancer survived their disease beyond ten years. Today, that is around three quarters and our work has been at the heart of this.

“But we can’t stop there – our ambition is to double the amount we spend on children’s cancer research over the next five to ten years to help save more lives. Ben and Holly’s support will help us carry out more research to help find better and kinder treatments for children with cancer.”
