Entertainment One has announced that Laura Clunie is being promoted to vice president of creative affairs and will be relocating from London to the company’s Toronto headquarters
Tasked with expanding eOne’s Family division (eOne Family) in Canada and North America, from March 2013, Clunie will oversee the acquisition and development of eOne Family content.
Leading all the creative affairs for the division, Clunie will continue to manage Lorna Burkle and Lorna Withrington in the London office, in addition to managing Swin Chang (Director of Development) in Toronto.
eOne said that Clunie’s relocation will strengthen broadcast ties in the territory and solidify the firm’s co-production partnerships.
"Clunie has played a vital role in the rapid expansion of our Family division", says Olivier Dumont, Managing Director at eOne Family.
"As brand awareness for Peppa Pig continues to increase in Canada and the USA, It has become increasingly important to have a dedicated person on the ground to deepen our relations with broadcasters and content owners and scope out new opportunities for kids programming in the region. With Clunie’s strong international contacts and vision for new content she was the perfect choice for this role."
