Licensing and global brand management firm Evolution has been appointed the global licensing agency for Gaumont International Television and NBCUniversal’s TV series Hannibal.
Evolution is looking to launch the brand in North America and Europe with partners in key product categories including apparel, accessories, fragrance, home furnishings, home decor, games and collectables.
"Hannibal is a sophisticated prequel to the Hannibal books, brought to life with artful writing, stylish direction and photography and a truly talented cast,” said Travis J. Rutherford, president of licensing and retail development for Evolution.
“It’s not surprising that the series has quickly established a large fan base, and we are confident that we can deliver to them compelling and unique product in a multitude of categories in support of the upcoming new season."
Christopher Lucero, director of global licensing at NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products added: “We have an incredibly loyal fan base that has really connected with this series.
“The Evolution team understands this property extremely well and we are looking forward to working with them to develop a strong licensing program that brings exciting new products to the market.”
Hannibal stars Mads Mikkelsen as the iconic Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who is working with the FBI and gifted criminal profiler Will Graham to look into the mind of serial killers.
Season two of the show returns to US TV on February 28th.
