Hasbro giving fans the chance to create new character as part of brand's 30th anniversary in 2014.

Fancy creating your own Transformer? Now you can

For the first time ever, Hasbro is giving fans across the globe the chance to help create a new Transformers character.

As part of the celebrations for the brand’s 30th anniversary in 2014, the ‘Fan Built Bot Poll’ kicks off today, running through until May 5th.

Hasbro is inviting fans to vote daily to shape the new character, which will then be made into an action figure featured in the Thrilling 30 line of toys to celebrate the milestone anniversary.

Fans can determine everything about the character – with votes deciding whether it is an Autobot or Decepticon, its vehicle or other mode, colour and personality. Fans will also have a say in the naming of the character.

"Since 1984, the Transformers brand has been bringing entertainment and excitement to kids and fans with our beloved characters like Bumblebee and Optimus Prime," said Jay Duke, VP of the brand at Hasbro. "This is the perfect way to kick off our anniversary celebration, and the Thrilling 30 line of special edition figures."

The results of the poll will be announced by Hasbro at Comic-Con International in San Diego later on this year.
