Former Turner Europe VP Simon Cox joins Rathbone

Former VP and sales director at Turner Broadcasting Europe, Simon Cox, has joined Rathbone Perception Media.

He will becomes MD at the Essex-based national advertising agency from July 1st, with the remit to further grow the 20-year-old successful media company.

Managing partner Martin Cole has relinquished the role of MD, to focus on overseeing the running of the existing client business along with fellow partners Dan Jones and Vicki Bird.

Cox, who hails from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, has extensive experience offering clients multi-media solutions through Turner Broadcasting Europe, part of Time Warner.

He has spent the last 14 years spearheading sales at Turner.

Simon Cox said: “Rathbone Perception Media reminds me very much of Turner when I joined there back in 1999. It consists of a group of hugely talented people who are hungry for both generic and new growth.

“I am excited to be stepping back into the media agency world where I originally came from. I think that by offering clients truly integrated multi-media solutions, Rathbone Perception can see significant growth over the next few years from the fantastic base that it presently has.”

Martin Cole added: “We are really excited to be welcoming Simon to the team here at RPM. His ambition and drive for success matches our own and we really see this as the next step for the agency, continuing to offer new and current clients the best possible media solutions with unrivalled servicing levels. Simon’s experience will be invaluable in the coming years.”

Rathbone Perception Media employs around 30 people at its Chelmsford offices and was merged with Perception Media 18 months ago.
