Fox set to develop Rambo TV series with eOne

Fox has closed a deal to develop a new TV series based on the iconic film franchise, Rambo.

Dubbed Rambo: New Blood, the TV series will feature the original Rambo, Sylvester Stallone, as the executive producer.

Fox will be teaming up with Entertainment One (eOne) and Millennium Films to produce the new series, which has been penned by writer Jeb Stuart.

The series will focus on the relationship between Rambo and his son J.R, who is a former Navy Seal, reports Deadline.

The character J.R was not featured in the original movies, and has been added as a way into the new series.

According to reports, there is no deal in place for Stallone to reprise his role in the series.
