Frida Kahlo lands licensed apparel line with European fashion name Cortefiel

The European fashion retailer, Cortefiel has launched its first Frida Kahlo licensed apparel line, using all organic fabric, in a deal brokered by the Barcelona-based Art Ask Agency.

Cortefiel is the original Tendam brand. Created in 1945, it targets men and women aged between 35 and 45 with a “youthful outlook on life and an open, enquiring mind.” The brand invites its loyal customer base, built up over 50 years, to discover a fashion alternative.

Steady growth over the years has turned Cortefiel into a consolidated brand and a major fashion reference. Today it boasts a presence in 34 countries, with 449 direct operated stores and franchises.

Frida Kahlo belongs to all of us, women of all walks of life. We are proud to see the launch in Cortefiel and are confident it will be another sales success for Frida Kahlo apparel,” said Maria Strid – Art Ask Agency, European agents for The Frida Kahlo Corporation.
