Frozen gets LEGO make-over with new book series and animated shorts

Disney has revealed it is expanding its Frozen franchise, with a new series of books and LEGO animated shorts.

Dubbed Frozen Northern Lights, the adventure will star Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven, who will also be joined by a brand new character known as Little Rock.

The first novel known as Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights, will launch in July from Random House, where fans of the franchise will get their first glimpse at Little Rock.

Following the release of the first book, a collection of novels will also be available at a later date.

Plus, LEGO’s own take on the story in the form of a series of four shorts will be released later this year, and will air on the Disney Channel this autumn.

The full voice cast from the original film, including Idina Menzel who played the voice of Elsa and Kristen Bell who played the voice of Anna, will return to screens in the shorts.
