Frozen named the UK’s top selling toy property of 2015

The NPD Group has detailed the UK’s five top selling toy properties of 2015, and Disney’s Frozen has come out on top.

Frozen was closely followed by Star Wars, while the rest of the top five were made up of toy-centric properties VTech Baby, Nerf and Little Tikes.

The NPD figures also show that toy sales in the UK have increased 4.8 per cent year on year.

‘’2015 has been a strong year for the British toy market to date and the NPD group expects the year to finish up 5 per cent after a similar increase in 2014," said Frédérique Tutt, global toy industry analyst with The NPD Group.

"Branded and licensed toys with traditional play patterns have been the key drivers behind the market performance, with collectable toys topping the charts.”
