Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow mobile game launches

20th Century Fox has licensed an all-new mobile game based on one of its top animated franchises in the form of Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow.

The free mobile game features the original voice cast of the series and was developed in partnership with show creator Matt Groening.

The game comes from Jam City, via its game studio TinyCo, and 21st Century Fox’s FoxNext Games and features a brand new story created by the Futurama writers. The game will see the return of the enigmatic alien Hypnotoad, who threatens the galaxy as he disrupts the space-time continuum.

“Hypnotoad has always been one of ‘Futurama’s most mysterious amphibians,” Groening said in a statement. “In this game we finally get to learn much more about his bizarre abilities and mating habits. Perhaps too much more.”

The game is free to play, with optional microtransactions boosting the game’s revenue.
