Game of 2 Halves bags Sony licensing deal

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has appointed Game of 2 Halves – the new licensing agency set up by Paul Comben.

The new deal means that Game of 2 Halves will be responsible for expanding merchandise licensing of the PlayStation brand and of games brands published by SCEE.

Licensing of the SCEE brands – including Little Big Planet, Invizimals, Ratchet & Clank, Killzone, Eye Pet, Uncharted and Buzz – first began three years ago. Game of 2 Halves will be offering more merchandise licensees the opportunity to join the growing programme.

An associate agreement between Game of 2 Halves and KJG means that Kirsty Guthrie is spearheading the drive to present the portfolio of PlayStation brands to licensees and retailers.

"We are delighted to appoint Game of 2 Halves as our licensing agent for the UK and Eire, to complement our other agents in other European countries," said David Evans, licensing manager at SCEE. "We look forward to building upon our existing merchandising programme."
