Planning to launch retro-style products inspired by the all-girl singing group.

Game of 2 Halves signs up The Tootsie Rollers

A raft of retro-style products are set to launch inspired by all-girl singing group The Tootsie Rollers, following the appointment of Game of 2 Halves as licensing agent.

The first products in development are a vintage retro health and beauty line.

Other key categories will include vintage-style clothing, hats, shoes, handbags, jewellery, hosiery, hair accessories and homewares.

The Tootsie Rollers – who have entertained royalty and celebrities including Princess Eugenie, Kevin Spacey, Kevin Bacon, Colin Firth, Darcey Bussell and Kim Cattrall – will also be making a special appearance at The Licensing Awards in September.

"We are very excited about translating our distinctive style and upbeat entertainment into a range of products that consumers will love," said Katy Heavens from The Tootsie Rollers. "And we look forward to entertaining licensees and retailers at The Licensing Awards in September."

Paul Comben, MD of Game of 2 Halves, added: "’New Nostalgia’ is a phrase that has been coined to describe the growing consumer enthusiasm for the golden era. You already see many retail products capitalising upon this vintage retro theme and we look forward to bringing it all together under the glitzy, glamorous Tootsie Rollers banner."
