Genius Brands International has named former Kabillion executive and licensing and merchandising expert Debra Pierson as GM of its Kid Genius channel.
Bringing 25 years experience in the kids entertainment industry, Pierson will spearhead the continued growth of the channel.
She will report to GBI’s senior vice president of global distribution sales, Andy Berman who also heads the Kid Genius channel.
As VP sales and marketing for Kabillion, Pierson helped launch the Kabillion Kids VOD channel, now available in over 60 million homes through al major cable providers.

“Her experience and capability is no less important for the Kid Genius channel as was Gerladine Laybourne to the creation of Nickelodeon, or Betty Cohen to Cartoon Network.
