Genius Brands International has tapped FatredCouch to develop a series of apps based on the firm’s animated kids’ series, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab.
The partnership will launch the first, master app for the show to coincide with the premiere of the new animated series in the US later this year.
The master app will offer users a variety of activities and games, featuring animated footage from the series. It will be available on iOS and Android through channel partners including Apple, Google, Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab follows the adventures of 12 year old Angie and her science club, who discover a hologram that bring Edison to life and a virtual reality machine that allows them to travel anywhere.
“Kids today expect a dynamic, interactive way to play their favourite shows on a variety of devices,” said stone Newman, GBI’s president of global consumer products.
“The Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab master app will take viewers deeper in to the Secret Lab, showing kids how fun science can be by immersing them in a digital world.
