Genius Brands teams with Spirit Halloween for SpacePop direct to retail programme

Genius Brands has teamed with Spirit Halloween to develop a direct to retail programme for its SpacePop property.

The move will further expand the brand’s presence in the US and Canada throughout the year ahead.

Under the new partnership, Spirit Halloween will design and manufacture a line of SpacePop character costumes and accessories, set to debut within 1,200 retail locations across the US and Canada this summer.

The firm joins an expanding roster of retail partners as it gears up for the holiday season with a new array of SpacePop merchandise including apparel, accessories, beauty products an electronics as well as room décor, books, music and home entertainment.

“SpacePop is an ideal fit for character costumes and accessories, and Spirit Halloween will give the brand a tremendous boost of exposure at the retail level,” said Stone Newman, president of worldwide content sales, global consumer products and marketing at Genius Brands International.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Spirit Halloween on creating a variety of accessories and costumes for SpacePop fans in 2017 and beyond.”

Spirit Halloween’s divisional vice president of licensing, marketing and product development, Eric Morse, added: “Spirit Halloween looks to create programmes that capitalise on market trends and satisfy the demands of our wide ranging guests.
