Studio 100 is to roll out an extensive licensing programme for its children’s property Maya the Bee.
The new programme will accompany the worldwide launch of the brand new CGI animated TV series, already sold in over 130 countries.
Maya the Bee made its first television appearance in the 1970s and today the updated children’s series has already enjoyed international success including Spain, where more than 590,000 viewers tuned in to watch it debut on Clan TV in February 2013.
The property now has more than 250 licensees on board, covering all major categories on a worldwide basis, from apparel to games and plush to food.
Extensive licensing programmes are set to launch between Q2 and Q4 2013 in all Maya the Bee broadcasting countries, including France, Hungary, Turkey, South Korea and Russia.
In celebration of Maya’s growing international popularity, Studio 100 have released a one off video of the character enjoying the Harlem Shake.
