Global Pursuit to represent Einstein in Greater China, India and Southeast Asia

Corbis Entertainment’s rights representation group GreenLight has appointed Global Pursuit Co., Ltd the exclusive licensing agent and promotions representative for Albert Einstein in Greater China, Southeast Asia and India.

Global Pursuit will use its extensive network of licensees, retailers and promotional partners throughout Asia to develop licensed consumer products for kids and adults across a broad range of categories.

These product ranges will feature all aspects of the Albert Einstein persona, which spans his name, voice, signature, photographs, likeness and images.

“While it’s been over 90 years since Albert Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics, his name continues to be synonymous with genius the world over,” said Lisa Soboslai, senior director of GreenLight.

“We selected Global Pursuit as the exclusive licensing agent in Greater China, Southeast Asia and India because of the agency’s local market expertise, as well as its commitment to ensuring that Einstein’s name and image is used suitably to promote the scientific legacy and cultural ethos of a man who transcends history and remains a perpetual presence in our world.”

Cynthia Money, president of Global Pursuit, added: “Albert Einstein’s intellectual curiosity, his dedication to pacifism and his social awareness created a legacy that continues to inspire academics and dreamers alike.

“We are confident that there is a demand throughout Asia for products and services associated with Einstein’s name or image, which instantly conveys intelligence, imagination, curiosity, discovery and spirit.

"Our local market by market approach will assure the development of a premium licensing program and the generation of promotional opportunities that respect Einstein the man and preserve his enduring status as one of mankind’s greatest minds.”

Einstein was named as the fourth most admired person of the 20th Century in a Gallup Poll conducted in 1999 and was named TIME magazine’s Person of the Century in 2000.
