Globall scores major win with Gilbert Rugby for expanded product range

Rugby merchandise specialists Globall has secured an agreement with Gilbert Rugby for the use of the world-renowned Gilbert ball design.

The new partnership will allow Globall to utilise the design and colouring of the famed Gilbert ball across new variations of its Rugby Ball Light product.

Globall, which currently produces a version of its desk lamp under license from the RFU has signed a deal which will now run into 2020. It allows Globall to use the coloured ellipse trim and Gilbert name and logo on an expanded product range.

“We get a huge number of requests for different team lamps from the public,” said Steve Hicks, MD at Globall. “Until now, we have not been able to respond to these enquiries. We have yet to approach any additional potential licensor clubs or unions, but securing this license is the first step in expanding our line.”

Released in 2016, the England Rugby Ball Light is the first consumer product designed and manufactured by Globall. Designed in Twickenham, the home of England Rugby, the Rugby Ball Light is an exclusive rugby ball-shaped desk or bedside lamp.

A replica of the Gilbert Rugby ball used by elite rugby players, the Rugby Ball Light has been designed specifically for rugby fans both young and old.

Globall is planning to produce an expanded product range for release in summer/autumn this year.
