Globe Telecom expands Cartoon Network app in Philippines

Globe Telecom has enhanced Cartoon Network’s Watch and Play app in the Philippines to allow customers to livestream Cartoon Network and on-demand content.

Globe customers will get the chance to log in to the free app to unlock games, access to full episodes on demand and livestreaming abilities.

Cartoon Network Anything, a micro-network that offers short-form content, is also offered as part of the Globe app bundle.

“We’re always looking for new ways to connect Cartoon Network fans with our content,” said Phil Nelson, MD of Turner in Southeast Asia.

“This partnership creates a truly unique and enjoyable second-screen brand experience for kids to enjoy and for parents to trust.”

Available for iOS and Android devices, the app is available for a free 30-day trial starting this November.
