Half Moon Bay goes for 70s retro vibe in new Mr Men Little Miss gifting range

The licensed product and gift wholesaler, Half Moon Bay has secured a new partnership with Sanrio to design and launch a new Mr Men and Little Miss gift range across the UK.

The new collection will use retro artwork from the author and illustrator Roger Hargreaves’ best-loved book series. The designs will focus on popular characters and recognisable pattern designs to create a wide range of products.

Nostalgia will be the central theme of the range as it draws upon the Mr Men and Little Miss’ 1970s heritage and narratives.

Etta Saunders Bingham, head of licensing and product development at Half Moon Bay, said: “We love to work with fun, classic brands and so Mr Men Little Miss is the perfect addition to our licensed portfolio. We will be going for a classic look drawing on the original strength of the brand that everyone knows and loves.”

The initial launch range will include some half Moon Bay classics such as drinkware and kitchenware, notebooks and stationery as well as a range of lifestyle, fashion and home accessories.

Sabrina Segalov, senior licensing manager for Sanrio Global Limited, said: “Half Moon Bay and Mr Men Little Miss are a perfect partnership, we look forward to developing a range of gift products using our classic characters with Half Moon Bay’s signature style.”

The product range will launch to retail in autumn/winter 2019.
