Aurora World’s collectable line of plush YooHoo & Friends animals will feature in McDonald’s Happy Meals across Europe.
The promotion will run in over 6,000 branches of the restaurant in 40 countries and in more than 30 languages until April.
During the campaign, Happy Meals will include ten mini plush animals, each with its own mini booklet containing facts about the animal.
Five of the characters are the main ones from the Aurora line: YooHoo, Pammee, Lemmee, Roodee and Chewoo.
McDonald’s has also created five exclusive characters: Limee (an Asiatic line from India), Sanchee (a chimp from Africa), BooHoo (a big-eared bat from the US), Sharkoo (a grey nurse shark from Australia) and Heehee (a striped hyena from several continents).
These characters may also be considered for a wider retail launch at a later date.
YooHoo & Friends launched in 2006 and, to date, 20 million toys have been sold, grossing a value of $280 million globally.
