Boat Rocker Brands and Brands with Influence (BWI) have named Haven Licensing as its new agent to represent TV show The Next Step, in Australia and New Zealand.
Set in Toronto, Canada, The Next Step follows the adventures of the Next Step Dance Studio’s ‘A-troupe’ dancers as they gear up for their regional, national and international dance competitions.
“We are psyched to get this one off the ground,” said Yvonne King, director of Haven Licensing.
“There is a gaping hole in our market for a hit brand for girls aged from five to eight and we believe this is it.”
The TV show has also witnessed success in the UK, thanks to grocer Sainsbury’s leading the retail change as the first to market in the UK with The Next Step fashion lines.
Plus, Danilo Calendars and Igloo Books will all be developing products based on the show, while a new magazine from Signature Publishing will also be released.
