Hinchcliffe & Barber awarded Gift Association’s Gift of the Year

The My Gifts Trade Hinchcliffe & Barber Grey Songbird range of homeware has been crowned overall winner at the Gift Association’s Gift of the Year Awards.

Based on the popular designs from John Hinchcliffe and Wnedy Barber, the Grey Songbird range includes ceramics, household and kitchen items, garden accessories and gift stationery.

The collection has been designed to ‘capture the serenity of an English country garden and the birds that feed there.’

The range received the overall Judges’ Choice Award from the GA – the trade representative body for the UK gift industry – from a selection spanning more than 20 categories.

The Hinchcliffe and Barber True Blue ceramic range was also a finalist in the Made in the UK category.

Wendy Barber, said: “We were delighted at the sensitive and appealing application of our design work to the My Gifts Trade range and are equally thrilled that no less an authority than the association serving the UK gift trade has given the range its top award.”

Jane Evans, director of JELC< added: “It is highly appropriate that the quintessentially English Hinchcliffe and Barber brand should be honoured by a body representing the British gift trade – and not once but twice.

“This is a wonderful recognition of a unique brand and two delightful gift ranges.”
