Icelandic brand Tulipop takes to Kickstarter for first book in its Tulipop Tales series

The Icelandic kids’ brand, Tulipop is taking to the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, to raise investment to launch its first published book title in the Tulipop Tales series.

Tulipop Tales” The Forgotten Forest is written and illustrated by Signý Kolbeinsdóttir, the creative mind behind the award-winning children’s brand Tulipop. The book will tell the origin story of when the mushroom siblings Bubble and Gloomy meet Fred, the friendly forest monster.

With over 4 million views on its YouTube channel and a wide range of popular merchandise, the storybook has been billed as “the perfect addition to what the world of Tulipop offers kids around the world.”

“This book is a step towards telling more stories and giving Tulipop fans further opportunities to  engage with the Tulipoppers”, says Helga Árnadóttir, CEO and co-founder of Tulipop.

The first illustrations from the 32 page magical book have been released as a tease for the launch of the Kickstarter campaign. New rewards and images will follow when the goal of $10,000 has been reached.

“We wanted to include the Tulipop community in the creation of this book and to reach the larger community that Kickstarter provides,” said Signý Kolbeinsdóttir.

“Our goal is to have the book printed by the first week of December and delivered to all our awesome backers just in time for Christmas and the holidays and our aim is to raise $10,000 towards the printing stage of the book.

“I hope Tulipop fans will want to take part in bringing this book to life and enjoy the fun selection of rewards we’ve put together – and even support a good cause along the way by backing ‘The Goodwill Set’ which supports the Icelandic Red Cross refugee program.”

The campaign’s multiple awards range from personalised cards and e-book to a day trip in Iceland to visit select locations which inspired Tulipop.

The Kickstarter campaign is now live and runs through until Friday, November 15. For more information and to contribute to the campaign visit: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tulipop/tulipop-tales-the-forgotten-forest.
