Bristol based production company, Icon Films has launched a new licensing division to develop a merchandising programme for the ITV hit show, River Monsters.
The new division will primarily be focusing on a range of publishing, stationery, gifting, apparel and accessories and promotions, targeting the show’s core fan base of males aged 25 to 44.
Last year River Monsters achieved a reach of 16 million viewers in its prime time week night slot at 7.30pm and hour long versions shown at 9pm on ITV4.
A sixth series of the show is currently in production with a seventh in development.
Icon’s commercial director, Lucy Middelboe, said: "River Monsters is a key brand for both Icon films and ITV alike.
"With a core fan-base of 25 to 44 year old males, we believe a merchandise programme is the next natural step and is a perfect opportunity to target both the fans of the show and also the three million fishermen in the UK."
