Iggy Pop – the Godfather of Punk – has leapt into licensing having launched a collaboration with Stumptown Coffee Roasters for a special edition, branded coffee.
Under the collaboration, Iggy Pop designed the limited edition coffee’s packaging with his own artwork, and plays a starring role in the brand’s video created by Tim Wenzel.
“Stumptown has always felt a connection with the Godfather of Punk and his artistic pursuits, and we were honoured to collaborate on this project with him.” said Mallory Pilcher, head of brand.
The limited edition coffee is produced by the Bies Penantan community – located in the province of Aceh, Sumatra – and specially assembled for Stumptown by the woman-led Ketiara Cooperative. Stumptown has been working with Ketiara for six years, around the same time the cooperative became certified organic. According to the company, this year’s lot has notes of dates, nutmeg and a long, chocolatey finish.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of this limited edition, Iggy Pop designed bag will go to the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, an international network of organisations which works toward empowering youth who experience gender-based oppression through the radical prism of music.
The special edition coffee will launched on June 13, 2019 and retails at $19. It will be available in all Stumptown cafes and at stumptowncoffee.com.
