ILMxLAB to launch new Darth Vader virtual reality experience

Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment division, ILMxLAB, is developing a virtual reality experience centred around Darth Vader.

The Dark Knight screenwriter David Goyer is collaborating with ILMxLAB on the new project.

“When we looked at all the characters, places, and worlds in the Star Wars universe available to us, we asked ourselves, ‘what haven’t we seen before? Who are we curious about?” said Goyer.

“Darth Vader is the perfect ambassador to usher us into the Star Wars VR universe.”

Elsewhere, ILMxLAB’s first Star Wars VR experience, Trials on Tatooine, is now available to experience for free on Steam VR for anyone with HTC Vive VR headset.
