Imira Entertainment launches Imiraplay on Samsung Smart TVs

Imira Entertainment has teamed with Samsung Smart TVs to launch new kids’ content platform, Imiraplay.

The app will initially feature five original Imira Entertainment properties in both English and Spanish, including Lucky Fred, Sandra the Fairytale Detective, Lola & Virginia, Saari and Vitaminix.

Alongside Imiraplay, the firm will also be launching its collection of existing apps on the Samsung platform, which will be inbuilt in to the new Samsung Smart TV sets at retail and available via an update.

Miguel Angel Ruiz, head of content services at Samsung, said: “At Samsung we have a firm commitment to offer our best content to our consumers.

“Incorporating Imiraplay into our apps slate for the Smart TV model is a key part of achieving this goal. Through this new app, Samsung Smart TV users can enjoy the best series in stunning definition and with great sound quality.”

Sergi Reitg, CEO of Imira Entertainment, added: “It gives us great pride that we are able to launch Imiraplay in to the world of Smart TVs through this partnership with Samsung, a world leader in this arena.

“This forms part of Imira Entertainment’s push to be ahead of the curve on the rapidly evolving landscape of television and the blurring lines between digital and traditional platforms.

“Our original programming continues to be successful with audiences globally, and we are excited to be partnering with Samsung to expand the reach of these multi-language properties even further.”
