Imira Entertainment has secured a swathe of new acquisitions, including the worldwide distribution rights for the popular live action series, Tom Turbo.
The Spanish production and distribution company has also inked deals for Tom Turbo, The Movie; the Latin American rights to the animated film The Turboosters and the Latin American and Italian rights to YooHoo & Friends.
The firm will now look to develop these popular children’s properties across the globe.
Sergi Reitg, CEO of Imira Entertainment, said: “Imira Entertainment is home to a collection of unique, dynamic and above all entertaining content for kids and teens, and we are pleased to have the Tom Turbo series and film, YooHoo & Friends and The Turboosters movie joining our slate this summer.
“We look forward to finding homes across the globe for these adventurous and exciting properties.”
Based on the book series from Austrain author, Thomas Brezina, Tom Turbo follows the adventures of a talking bike with the ability to solve mysteries and thwart the evil designs of Fritz Fantom.
Tom Turbo, The Movie takes viewers back to the origin of Tom and challenges fans and children to break the code throughout the film.
Meanwhile, The Turboosters follows three seventh grade students: Jamie, Sana and Wicky who must save their school from the clutches of the villain Skeller.
Finally, YooHoo & Friends was created to help educate children about protection and preservation of the environment. The characters are based on rare or endangered species, each at risk of extinction.
