The UK outfit, Bits and Pixels has been named the licensing agency for the popular video game title, Terraria.
Under its deal with brand owners Re-Logic, the London-based video game specialist will represent the 2D sandbox action game across Europe and the Americas.
Terraria is widely recognised as one of the most successful indie titles of all time as it challenges players to dig, fight, explore and build in search of adventure and treasure. It has a firmly established community of fans and players across the globe.
With a roadmap of content updates across multiple platforms and a launch on Nintendo Switch, 2019 is poised to be a big year for the video game brand. Bits and Pixels will be looking to build a licensing programme for both online and high street retailers.
“We are so happy to be representing Terraria; it has so much in terms of heritage, a deeply engaged audience, a uniquely expansive world and critically acclaimed gameplay,” said Sandra Arcan, director of Bits and Pixels.
“We are looking forward to working with licensees and retailers to create products which will really delight the awesome community.”
Andrew Spinks, CEO of Re-Logic, added: “We are thrilled to have an agency partner as passionate and dedicated to Terraria as we are at Re-Logic. There is so much potential here to provide awesome offerings for a game and to a community that is eager for cool ways to express their fandom.
“We are looking forward to working hand in hand with Bits & Pixels, licensees and retailers to create authentic and amazing products that will engage and thrill all parts of our large, loyal and diverse community.”
