Inside Out wins best animated feature at Golden Globes

Disney Pixar’s Inside Out has been named Best Animated Feature Film at last night’s Golden Globe awards.

At the 73rd annual event hosted by Ricky Gervais at Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 10th, the animated movie beat the likes of Anomalisa, The Good Dinosaur and the Shaun the Sheep Movie.

The title, about the inner workings of a young girl’s emotions, marks Pixar Studio’s seventh Golden Globe win for best animated feature since the category was created ten years ago.

Co-wirter and co-director, Pete Docter accepted the award with producer Jonas Rivera.

“We felt like growing up is really hard,” said Docter in his acceptance speech. “And that was an interesting thing to make a movie about.”
