The second annual International Emmy Kids Awards revealed its winners in a ceremony held in New York this week.
Magic Light Pictures’ multi-award winning film Room on the Broom scooped the award in the Animated category, while Entertainment One triumphed in the Preschool category for its British animated series, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom.
Starring the voice talents of Rob Brydon, Martin Clunes, Simon Pegg and more, Room on the Broom has already picked up a raft of awards and nominations, most recently an Oscar nomination in the Best short Animated Film category, marking Magic Light’s third nomination in four years.
Michael Rose, co-founder of Magic Light Pictures, said: "We are very honoured to have won an International Emmy award.
"It’s fantastic recognition for the film, it’s brilliant directors Max Lang and Jan Lachauer and everyone who worked so hard to make it.
"We always pick projects that have integrity at their heart, and we’re incredibly proud of creating a film that continues to enchant families globally."
Meanwhile, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom – from the makers of the global hit Peppa Pig nd a co-production between Entertainment One and Astley Baker Davies – picked up the Preschool award at the event featuring over 3,000 international industry executives.
Olivier Dumont, managing director at Entertainment One, said: "We are all absolutely thrilled that the show has won an Emmy.
"The endorsement of such an internationally respected award is a credit to the highly talented team at Astley Baker Davies."
