The Snowman and The Snowdog have taken flight over the Isle of Man this Christmas where the popular characters are featuring on special edition stamps and coins.
Working on behalf of Snowman Enterprises, The Copyrights Group brokered two separate but complementary licensing deals with The Isle of Man Post Office and Pobjoy Mint. The two organisations have gone on to work together to ensure maximum exposure about the island this Christmas.
The set of six stamps are available in a presentation pack, first day cover or as mint set in addition to sheets of 25 gummed and self-adhesive stamps, all of which can be pre-ordered online at iomstamps.com.
The Isle of Man Post Office is also offering a free reply service for all children who write letters to Father Christmas.
Artwork from The Snowman and The Snowdog forms the basis of the campaign materials and sees The Isle of Man Post Office receiving almost 1,000 letters from local schools and nurseries.
The Isle of Man Post Office is selling gift packs featuring the stamps and the coin from Pobjoy Mint. In past years, it has sold around 2,000 units of this item – with The Snowman and The Snowdog giftpack having broken all records, with pre-orders of the pack exceeding all previous themes.
Pobjoy Mint has released two new coins, both featuring The Snowman and The Snowdog. The Christmas 50 pemce and a Christmas Crown are available at www.pobjoy.com or via the Isle of Man Post Office website.
