“It’s the perfect time for Molang in the UK” as Sony Pictures picks up three seasons

Brand licensing agency, Licensing Link Europe has said the time is now “perfect for Molang to make its mark in the UK,’ following news that three seasons have now been sold to Sony Pictures Televisions Network.

Sony will launch the series on Tiny Pop from September 29th to greet back to school audiences, bringing the total global reach of Molang to over 190 countries. Molang now boasts a count of 156 episodes as well as TV specials which cover three themes: Halloween, Christmas and Summer Holidays.

“We are absolutely delighted with this development as Molang readies himself for free to air TV here in the UK,” said Ian Wickham, director of Licensing Link.

‘The show is building awareness both in the US and across Europe, so timing is perfect for us to now make our mark here in the UK too. With the level of commitment we have received for the show in terms of broadcast scheduling and key categories signed, then the future is most definitely looking bright.”

Molang has already signed with a number of key partners including TOMY Europe as master toy licensee, Aykroyds and TDP Textiles for nightwear and underwear, Smith & Brooks for children’s daywear and DJ Murphy and Kennedy Publishing for multi character publishing.

Licensing Link is now on the lookout for further partners to join the roster as Molang ntrs what it calls a “brand new and exciting chapter here in the UK.”
