ITV’s Victoria builds out licensing programme in the US and Canada

The popular period drama TV series Victoria is entering the world of licensing with a new product range courtesy of ACCO Brands.

Under the deal, ACCO Brands will launch a line of 2019 calendar products for the US and Canadian markets. The deal was brokered by Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management.

“It’s great to be working with such a popular period television series featuring a strong female lead as well as so many beautiful costumes and sets,” said ACCO Brands licensing account manager, Jenny Matthews.

Victoria is co-produced by Mammoth Screen and Masterpiece for ITV in the UK and stars Jenna Coleman in the title role of Queen Victoria. In Canada, the series can be seen on Vision TV and SRC.

“Victoria is a visual treat providing a wealth of spectacular material and inspiration for licensees like ACCO to work with,” said Spotlight Licensing president, Carole Postal.

“With Victoria now in its second season on PBS Masterpiece, this is an exciting time for the brand and our US licensing programme.”

In the US, Victoria drew more than six million viewers when it premiered in January 2017, on its way to becoming one of the highest rated dramas on PBS n 20 years.
