James Cameron and Fox officially date Avatar sequels

Dates for James Cameron and 20th Century Fox’s four Avatar sequels have been revealed.

First announced on the movie’s Facebook page, the four films will follow on December 18th, 2020, December 17th, 2021, December 20th, 2024 and December 19th, 2025.

Posted with an image of Cameron and the crew, the post said: “Great to be working with the best team in the business. Avatar takes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels.”

Cameron previously revealed plans to launch Avatar 2 during Christmas 2018, followed by another three sequels in 2020, 2022 and 2023. However, Fox never officially dated the films.

He has since revealed that the four upcoming movies will be stand alone films, but together will create a saga.
