Jim Henson Co. strikes Tiny Pop broadcast deal for Splash and Bubbles, Dot and Doozers

The Jim Henson Company has tapped Sony Picture Television Networks UK to air Splash and Bubbles, Dot and season two of Doozers on Tiny Pop.

Splash and Bubbles is aimed at kids aged four to seven and explores the diversity of the undersea world. The series is produced by the Jim Henson Company and Herschend Studios, the media arm of Herschend Enterprises.

Meanwhile, Dot is based on the popular children’s book by the digital lifestyle expert Randi Zuckerberg and follows the adventures of the tech-savvy Dot. The show is the result of a collaboration between Industrial Brothers, The Jim Henson Company and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Finally, Doozers is a Hulu Original series for kids and features the ongoing adventures of the popular characters inspired by the classic Henson series, Fraggle Rock. The series encourages pre-schoolers to learn about design thinking, making eco-friendly choices, how to become more aware of their surroundings and understanding how things work.

Each will launch to Tiny Pop during the course of 2018.

“Sony Pictures Television’s broad reaching Tiny Pop channel is the ideal home for these three popular series, and children across the UK will get to enjoy the adventures of each of these fun new characters very soon,” said Ian Lambur, management consultant, global distribution at The Jim Henson Company.
