Endemol Shine Group are looking for an experienced brand licensing manager to join its Group Brand Licensing team.  This role will be responsible for driving sales and commercial opportunities from an extensive IP portfolio in key European markets including France, Germany, Benelux and the Nordics.  The role will cover all areas of consumer products from pitching through to deal negotiation, product sell through and reporting.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Licensing and will be part of Group team based in London. The role will involve travel to relevant markets and in-depth knowledge of business in each territory.

This is an exciting, fast-paced role in an established team at group level, working alongside local Opcos as necessary to grow the consumer products business across multiple categories. The day-to-day role will include market research, pitch prep and client meetings.  It will also involve the appointment and management of Agents as needed to strategically grow the business.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue from licensing of Group IP to a range of consumer products partners in France, Germany, Benelux, Nordics, CEE and MENA;
  • Manage all categories to include publishing, food and beverage, apparel, gifts and accessories, toys and games, cookware, homeware, stationary and paperware;
  • Identify Agents for any specific brands in certain markets; take pitches and negotiate representation agreements; proactive management to ensure delivery of forecasts
  • Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for all categories/licensees/agents
  • Negotiation of contracts and oversight of deal process through to launch
  • Manage relationships with local Opcos as needed to ensure all interested parties can support product launches;
  • Work as part of the Group licensing team, provide input into global deals to ensure regional needs are met and leverage global deals locally;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with licensees, retailers, agencies and Agents to deliver best possible programmes for the IP portfolio;
  • Develop a sustainable long term business that delivers on annual targets; monthly reporting and deal pipeline management;
  • Contribute to the creation and presentation of overall brand strategy working with the brand team; develop local social media and brand activations as needed;
  • Manage product approval process with licensees and Group team, always innovating to ensure best possible product is available to consumers;
  • Contribute to PR and marketing strategies, finding ways to amplify business in the territories;
  • Stay ahead of market and business trends and react accordingly to the benefit of our business

Personal Attributes, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fluent French speaker
  • Knowledge of the French licensing market
  • Experience within Adult/Lifestyle licensing is desirable
  • 3-5 year’s experience in the international licensing industry
  • Current network of strong relationships with licensees, Agents and retailers
  • Multi-channel distribution experience
  • Motivated and driven to deliver commercial success
  • Knowledge of digital brands
  • Ability to build sales decks and pitches
  • Team player, collaborative and flexible
