Our client is a privately owned Spanish toy manufacturer with a leading position in the market of collectibles for kids, in which category it has pioneered innovative products. With the help of two distributors a steady and substantial business has been built in the UK over 14 years and the company plans to increase its investment in the UK market and build a long term business. A Commercial Manager is to be recruited to help to sell to the major mass market customers.
The key job responsibilities will be to develop and execute a sales and distribution strategy, produce a sales forecast and manage the national accounts. Applicants must have several years successful experience as a senior sales executive, know the UK key account toy buyers well, and have the desire and ability to recognize emerging opportunities and to develop creative ways to exploit them.
Initially the Commercial Manager will work alone, possibly from a home office. The position will appeal to an entrepreneurial person with initiative who is passionate about the product and who can work effectively on their own. The position will report to the Global Commercial and Marketing Director, who is based in Spain.
