With both US and international figures taken into account, Jurassic World is the first film to gross more than $500m worldwide in a single weekend.
Jurassic World enjoyed the second highest international box office debut of all time.
Screen reports that the film took an estimated $307.2m from 66 markets in its first weekend on screens, just shy of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2’s $314m debut in 2011.
The film also roared to the second biggest North American launch on $204.6m, just shy of Avengers Assemble’s $207.4m US debut.
Jurassic World registered Universal’s biggest debut in China andit also overtook Fast & Furious 7 to register Universal’s highest international weekend.
Debuts in other territories saw Jurassic World make $29.6m in the UK along with South Korea’s $14.4m, Australia’s $12.1m and $5.3m in the Philippines.
The film also opened with $16.2m in Mexico, $12.5m in France, $11m in Germany, $9.4m in Russia, $8m in Taiwan, $7.1m in India, $6.3m in Brazil, $5.7m in Malaysia and $5.3m in Italy.
