The new preschool animated series Kate & Mim-Mim is celebrating a ratings success following its debut on CBeebies last month.
The FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment show proved a hit with its core audience when it ranked number one in its timeslot.
The series saw an average audience share of 21 per cent among children aged four to six, while the show won an average audience share of 18 per cent among housewives with kids aged three and under.
Kate & Mim-Mim follows the adventures of a five year old Kate and her toy bunny Mim-Mim as they travel to fantasy worlds and meet new friends, including Gobble the gardener, Tack the inventor, Boomer the mischief maker and Lily.
“Early indications suggest that CBeebies viewers love twirling away to Mimiloo and can’t get enough of fun and feisty heroine Kate and her big bunny pal Mim-Mim,” said Tessa Moore, SVP global brand management, FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment.
“Kate & Mim-Mim’s emphasis on humour, adventure and problem solving is clearly resonating with young viewers.”
The 52 episode cGI series is produced and developed by Nerd Corps Entertainment, and was created by a husband and wife duo, Scott and Julie Stewart when they were inspired by their daughter Kate and her own toy bunny.
