Super RTL has signed to broadcast the new show alongside develop a licensing portfolio across the territory.

Kate & Mim-Mim makes German debut this year

The new pre-school property Kate & Mim-Mim has been sold to Super RTL in Germany where it will air later this year.

In addition, the broadcaster will also represent the licensing and home entertainment rights for the animated series in the territory.

Soon to make its screen debut in the UK on CBeebies and in Canada on BBC Kids and the Knowledge Network, Kate & Mim-Mim is FremantleMedia’s latest animated series aimed at two to five year olds.

The show follows the adventures of Kate who together with her toy rabbit Mim-Mim, travels to the fantasy world of Mimiloo, where Mim-Mim comes to life.

“The combination of appearing on the most popular children’s broadcast TV platform coupled with Super RTL’s licensing expertise means they are the perfect partner to help us successfully lunch our newest franchise in to Europe’s biggest market.,” said Rick Glankler, EVP of FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment.

Carsten Göttel, Super RTL’s programme director, added: “We are really looking forward to taking our little viewers on the adventurous journey to Mimiloo together with the lovable Kate and her purple friend Mim-Mim.

“With its imaginative world, Kate & Mim-Mim is a perfect fit for our Toggolino pre-school line up in the morning.”

Super RTL will work with FremantleMedia on the show’s licensing programme.
