Kidscreen has launched a brand new Wild Card programme to its annual Asian Animation Summit this year.
The new category will now offer all animation studios based in Asia and Australasia a chance at being selected to present a project at Kidscreen’s third annual event.
Previous years have seen eligibility limited to companies based in regions represented by the event’s screen agency partners.
The Wild Card programme now opens the event to companies operating in every region of Asia and Australasia.
The Asian Animation summit will take place this year in Hanoi, Vietnam form December 3rd to 5th and Wild Card submission packages will be accepted until Friday, October 3rd.
Kidscreen’s editorial team will then review all submissions received, shortlisting three to be included in the Summit showcase.
The Asian Animation Summit itself is designed to attract producers of animation interested in co-producing projects with Asian partners ad well as Asian broadcasters, distributors and investors.
The three day event – expected to see between 200 and 250 attendees – will see 24 projects from Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and elsewhere in Asia.
Wild Card submission packages can be sent to Kidscreen publisher, Jocelyn Christie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
