Beano Studios’ former lead product designer, James Kirkwood, has joined the children’s insights and marketing specialists, KidsKnowBest as its new creative director.
Kirkwood (main image) is one of two new hires at the firm, who also welcomes the former Dubit director, Peter Robinson to the role of chief operating officer.
The news comes just a few weeks since KidsKnowBest announced its line-up of investors, including Amy McPherson (European President, Marriott International), Hani Farsi (Chairman & Executive Producer, The Corniche Group) and Sarah Wiggins (Partner, LinkLaters).

“The addition of Peter Robinson from Dubit as KidsKnowBest’s chief operating officer is a huge coup for us,” said co-founder Rob Lough. “Peter is hugely experienced in technology, kids’ entertainment and ethical marketing to children. We’re delighted that he has chosen to join us.”
Co-founder Joel Silverman added: “James Kirkwood is an incredibly talented individual, as his work at Beano Studios and Mind Candy has demonstrated. He is someone we’ve been looking to work with for some time, as we know he shares our vision. So we’re very happy to welcome him to the KidsKnowBest team.”
