Children’s entertainment brand LazyTown is ramping up activity across Australia, back on TV and plans in a number consumer products categories.
A new deal has been secured with Australian Broadcasting Corporation. This will see the free to air channel renew the rights for LazyTown series one and two, as well as securing the rights to air the new series three. This is due to premiere on ABC4Kids on June 26th.
ABC Music has also secured the rights for all of the music from LazyTown, to be released in both physical and digital format.
Home entertainment publisher Roadshow recently added series three to its portfolio, and will be rolling it out on DVD next year.
On top of this, LazyTown has renewed its long standing relationship with live stage show promoter Andrew Kay & Associates to continue to represent LazyTown stage show rights in Australia.
LazyTown forms a standalone segment of the ABC4Kids stage show, which continues to tour throughout the country with performances in July scheduled at the Sydney Opera House.
Finally, LazyTown has renewed with agent Stella Projects, which will continue to handle the licensing and merchandise business in Australia.
