LeapFrog partners with Silvergate Media for first Octonauts Learning Game

LeapFrog has partnered with creative TV production and licensing firm Silvergate Media to release the first Octonauts Learning Game.

Aimed at three to five year olds, the new game aims to help children develop their knowledge of ocean science, life science and ecosystems, using the signature Octonauts’ gadgetry.

Featuring a host of characters from the popular preschool series such as Captain Barnacles, Kwazii and Peso, the game will offer youngsters the chance to develop critical thinking skills, confidence and an early understanding of science.

The game will also feature creature sounds and photographs from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Ocean Exploration and Research.

“Octonauts is an exciting new license that we are thrilled to add to our ever expanding game portfolio and we are sure it will be very popular with parents and children alike,” said Gail Fisher, UK and EMEAA content and licensing manager at LeapFrog.

Ron Allen, SVP EMEA, Asian and Australia, added: “We are thrilled to be working with LeapFrog to bring Octonauts to new and existing fans globally. There couldn’t be a better fir with the Octonauts brand values of adventure and education than the world’s number one children’s tablet and we’re so pleased to be part of the Leapfrog Learning Library.”

The game is available on the LeapFrog Learning Library now and can be played on the LeapPad, LeapPad3 and LeapPad Ultra XDi.
